PROJECTS
CHORUS Songwriting has been privileged enough to work with many other organisations doing great work across the South West in the areas of music, creativity and inclusivity.
Find a little more information about some of our collaborative project work here.
Queer Folk Club (2025 - onwards)
CHORUS Songwriting, Lowender and intobodmin are really excited to be starting up a new Queer folk Club in Bodmin, Cornwall.
Anyone can come and join in with this event and explore diverse ways of looking at all kinds of folk in a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.
The sessions will be facilitated by Anna Anise and Daniel Woodfield and are free to attend.
QUILTBAG Sunday Socials (2024 - 2025)
The QUILTBAG Sunday Socials have been an asset to the LGBTQIA+ community in Totnes for over a year. These monthly meet ups have been created by Lumin at SinSerity Productions , who bought you the Fools Ball and Sacred & Profane Ball at the Barrel House, Totnes.
From October ‘24 - April '25 they are teaming up with CHORUS Songwriting CIC (run by local songstress Anna Anise) to bring exceptional queer folk musicians to these regular events and provide more creative opportunities to connect the LGBTQIA+ community in Totnes.
This is part of a participatory research project with Access Folk.
Songshares at Schumacher College, Dartington (2022 - 2023)
A year-long monthly series of sharing songs around the woodturner or campfire with the students, volunteers, staff and community at the very special Shumacher College (not long before it closed its doors).
A welcoming space to listen, or share any song or tune, in any genre, original or cover - and it’s fine to be incomplete or being read out of your notebook/phone.
Many beautiful songs and poems were shared through the year. Experiencing the Songshare in both December’s snowfall and on the longest night of the year made it a very special chapter indeed.
